Three marks on every gold piece.

Every piece of gold we sell carries a BIS hallmark. Look for three marks, side by side.

The BIS standard mark
22K916The purity: 916 parts gold in 1,000
The HUID: six letters and numbers, one per piece

An 18K piece reads 18K750. See what 916 means on the assay bar.

Check a HUID yourself.

  1. Open the free BIS CARE app from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
  2. Choose Verify HUID and type the six characters from the piece.
  3. The app shows the details registered for that piece, including its purity and who hallmarked it.
